The Birthday Day...

Sooooo yesterday was Alex's birthday. He's fifteen now, which is insane. Old enough for a permit? Eek!

"And it was also my birthday. Just so you know." -Tangled - paraphrased for the occasion

I hadn't really expected (or hoped for) a big birthday celebration - twenty-two is quite old enough to not expect big birthday bashes...so I was soooo surprised with the lovely party my family put together!

Alex's theme was sports, because as anyone who knows him well knows, he loves sports.

And for me...the girls picked this theme.

Ok, I have to give a shout-out to my incredibly talented sisters. I want you all to know, folks, that they thought up and decorated the entire table all by themselves. They are pretty amazing.

The yellow streamers hanging from the ceiling is Rapunzel's hair. Is that cute or what???????!!!!!

And I got a nifty long-hair headband wig thingie! CUUUUTE.
(Me with my frying pan. I think it shrunk slightly. ;-))

"This is the best day ever!!!"
-Tangled

They lost the other 'two' candle, I guess. :-D

And the theme extended to the presents. I really couldn't think of a whole lot I really wanted for my birthday, so I left the poor fam to fend for themselves trying to think of things. And they came through wonderfully!

Awwwww! A Charming Charlie gift certificate! Squeal!!!

Lots of nice clothes...

And the piece de resistance of the day....

Look at this.

I love collecting dolls, especially from films and stuff (I have the My Fair Lady Barbie collection, a Superman doll, stuff like that ;-)) so I about died. What an incredibly adorable idea!

Oh, and look at these adorable Tangled-themed cards the girls made! The girls have more talent in the art department in their baby fingers than I do period.

Emma's card...

Addy's card...

Belle's card...notice Rapunzel's dress on the front of the card...she made it herself!

We did some silly string....hadn't done that in years, it was a blast!

The real Rapunzel aka Belle...covered in silly string :-)

And then that evening watched Tangled and had Jalepeno Popper dip and some other snacks. (And yes, Alex picked the movie with me. :-) We had another planned that was "his" but it got too late to watch both.)

So, it was a lovely birthday. I'm very excited to see what this year is going to hold! A ginormous 'thank you' to my wonderful family for the great day!!!

And happy birthday to my wonderful brother Alex! It's not every girl who can say that she got a baby brother for her seventh birthday present, after all! :-) Love you!

Happy Birthday to you both! Wow....you're 22. That's, like, a real grown-up :) The party looked like so much fun- what a great theme!!! I totally want Flynn and Rapunzel dolls for my birthday :D I collect dolls as well, and I have a My Fair Lady doll and it's one of my very favorites :)

Belle's card was so cute! Does she have the Klutz paper fashions book?

Again, Happy Happy Birthday!
