All the Single Ladies Party and Tag!

Hello, lovelies! I've missed you so much!!!

Still very hectic, but I very much wanted to try and be a part of this lovely blog party hosted by the equally lovely Meghan of Just as I Am! A whole week-long blog party centered around V-day and romance and all that? Um, YES!!!!

So here is the first bit...a tag. And you know how I love tags. ;)

 1. White chocolate or milk/dark chocolate? Dark. Always.
2. Tea or Coffee? Oh, both. Depends on the mood.
3. Movie or book on a night-in? Depends. There is something really relaxing about a good rom-com. I'm kinda on a rom-com kick lately. But if it's a book I love, well, you know.
4. Rom-com or a tear-jerker? Now that I've said that, as you know my very favorite are tear-jerkers. Rom-coms are relaxation after a hectic and/or stressful day, tear-jerkers are soul-food. And yes, you have permission to laugh at my melodrama.
5. Who is the first literary couple to come to your mind? Duhhhhhh.
6. Who is the first *movie* couple that comes to your mind? Does it need saying? (Hehe. Points to whoever knows where this comes from. And yes, it's a shameless hint as to who they are. ;))
7. Roses or chocolate? Roses!! Red are the bestest, but only from my dad or someday, a significant other. I like cheery pink or yellow or etc. flowers from friends. :)
8. Fancy dinner in a 4-star restaurant or a simple picnic? Both. Depends on the mood. :)
9. Dream wedding scenario: outdoor family affair, or a formal church wedding & reception at a 5-star hotel? Formal church wedding and 5-star hotel reception allllll the way. I love big, girls. You know that. ;)
10. What was the last love song you listened to? All I Ask of You, actually. From Phantom, of course, in case any of you wouldn't know. Which I don't think anyone doesn't. :)
11. Favorite real-life/celebrity couple? Oooooooh. Ummmmmmm...I love William and Barbara Wilberforce in Amazing Grace. And Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan are always cute. :D
EDIT: It has come to my attention that I FORGOT my favorite celebrity couple (and I was sitting here wracking my brain knowing I had forgot something) - The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! Duhhhhhhhhhhhh, peoples. WHAT was I thinking? It's called over-loaded brain, which is what mine is right now. :)
12. One piece of advice about love: "Unless it is mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it is a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life. Love should not be one of them." - quote from Pinterest and SO TRUE. Don't ever settle for someone because he's just a nice guy or he may be all you ever get a chance at or even just because he's a good Christian. Anything other than being madly, passionately in love with the man you are going to marry is a complete waste of time and life.

And that's it for now! I'm really going to try and post at least a few times this week! Missed all of you and lots of love!

This looks like fun! I'm going to do it tomorrow.

BTW, I read your post that you wrote back in Oct. or Sep. about what you would say to your 14 year old self and I must say to you that it was one of the best posts I have ever read on a blog site!

Especially with what you said about the myths of 'emotional purity, saving your feelings,' and the hardships of courtship.' I've honestly thought I was the only person who thought that it was all ridiculous.

Anyway, I really like your site and the way you write!

Ooooh, loved this-- and it's SO GREAT to see you back blogging again!

Heehee, haven't seen much of the Downey couple, but I did see a picture from some award thing or whatever where RDJ was saying, "And I would like to thank Susan Downey, who said that such-and-such was going to win the award and not to bother preparing a speech." :P

Looking forward to your posts if you get a chance!!

You know, you and I would at least somewhat agree with each other in certain areas. Like your last answer there? Okay, different words than I use... but... I'm always going on about not 'settling for anything less', as I say, just to be married, and all that. Just ask Amy. ;) "I am determined that nothing but the very deepest love will ever induce me into matrimony." (But "the more I know of the world, the more I am convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love." *sigh*
I *do* have quite a bit of Marianne-ish-ness in me. (Even if the first quote was a movie-Elizabeth quote. Yeah, well, I still like it. And it's in character. ;) )
